Ask Me Anything How do you recruit for your direct sales teams?

    I work with two direct sales businesses, something I thought I would never do. I loved the products so much I had to sign up and it's been going well for the last year and a half. I find it hard to recruit new team members, which is the key to bonuses. I'm just not pushy. I do have a team of about 20 on each business but even with incentives they are up and down in sales, of course. So how can I get more team members and how do you do it?

    Hey there,

    What I find that works is if you really build a competitive incentive structure. It's something I recently implemented and there's such a friendly competitive vibe to the sales area of my company. Perhaps if you have a strong enough cash bonus incentive it'll get your team going more so. In addition to the "Gaining" more team members, have you tried some unorthodox ways of recruiting? e.g. Via Twitter, following the hashtag "#FreeAgent" ? I found someone useing that hashtag a while ago.
