Our research group, headed by Dr. Michael Lamport Commons, Harvard Medical School is working on a study that explores co-founder compatibility from a behavioral perspective.

The latest tool we have been working on uses Holland Scale and skill complementarity matching to predict the success of the business.

If your business is a partnership enterprise, it is very important to have good a partner. "Good partner" refers to:
Knowledge and information: Does your partner have any knowledge and information that can be used for business.
Time: Is your partner willing to give time.
Risk: Is your partner willing to take risk?

@Sarthak What's a Holland Scale? Is this readily available to the public for use? Perhaps there are someone out here on the look out of a partnership and may want to use this tool to test his prospects. Where can people get this scale and what was the other tool you used to check whether the skills of each partner complements the other?
Have you gotten results to your study or is the study still ongoing?

Your inputs will greatly help those who are looking into partnerships.

Holland scale is a personality test that measures various characteristics of a person: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. Among other personality tools, our startup is using this scale to match cofounders. We are also using stage theory to questions for matching. Dr Commons has been working on stage theory for the past 30 years. There are numerous peer-reviewed paper that have been published. Holland is also a well-known personality test that has been extensively used and researched. We are piloting our product for cofounder matching. Are you involved with a partnership? Do you have friends or colleagues who are involved with the startup scene? If so we would like to invite to do the survey below:

Personality test, all right. I've heard that from the Japanese. They never go into partnership, especially with foreign partners, who are not in consonance with their lifestyle. First in the agenda of most Japanese businessmen coming to the Philippines is golf. If you don't play golf then you are out of the picture. As the Japanese would say, good business transactions are hatched during a golf game. That's why most Filipinos aspiring to be business partners are studying the lifestyle of the Japanese including their style of smoking cigarette which they consume up to half of the stick only.

That is really very interesting. I wonder how the measure on our co-founder matching survey would come out for Japanese partners. What is your line of work?
